Yip yip yip
Sep. 12th, 2009 02:56 pmMy parents are visiting.
They own this little yappy dog named Macy. She's a sweet enough thing and they dote on her to the point that it's cute (if not slightly annoying). However, the thing is terrorizing my poor cats. They're huddled upstairs trying to hide because the pup can't make it up the stairs.
It is good to see them though. They like the house, which is always good. The neighborhood, not so much. I was expecting that though. It's a little rough around the edges.
I took them to the North Market today and they absolutely loved that. Then we went to lunch with Kyle at this famous German restaurant in Columbus. It was like an amusement park or museum for my dad. With sausages.
I'm trying, for probably the 3rd time, to read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I really, really liked A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin and wish he would finish it. However, I need something to read until he gets around to writing that next book and everyone tells me Jordan's series is great once you get into it. It feels slow moving right now.
