There are no real spoilers for Fright Night, as this is just a Torchwood adventure loosely based on some of the plot ideas from Fright Night and stealing some of the personality of their villain.

I'm getting married in 38 days. Oh god, that just hit me. I still need to find shoes and get my dress fittings finished and sdlkhfsdkf. Ahhh.

I totally finished my reel_torchwood fic today. It's, according to Microsoft Word, hovering at around 30,285 words. It's still not beta'd, but I'll get that taken care of this week.

Thanksgiving was very fulfilling -- har!-- and I hope everyone else had a good one. This'll be it for me until after finals.

Except my lymph nodes are swollen and I have a slight fever. Got a lot of aches and fatigue going on too. Boo.

Wedding planning is about 85% complete. All of the big stuff is done -- menus, vendors, decor, invites, so on. Now it's the little things like picking out specific music and licenses and all of the tiny but annoying stuff.

School. Oh school is about to get so hard. I need to finish any fics I'm working on today because I'm forcing myself to take a break from anything fun and fandom related for the next two weeks while I start prepping for finals.

On that note, my reel_torchwood fic is ALMOST FINISHED. It's at a little over 22,000 words and I'm surprised because I kept dropping the story to work on other things and going back to it. I also have a 6,000 word Jack/Gwen/Ianto story I might post, or I might keep because it has the potential to have a smutty ending if I keep working at it.

I need a nap or some coffee. Maybe both.

So I'm nearing the make or break point on my reel_torchwood story. It's around 20,000 words right now.

I need a beta. I had betas in the past, but none that really followed me into this fandom.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to look for one or want to volunteer? I need someone who is willing to bounce around ideas with me on scenes that need fleshed out and are willing to tell me areas that are particularly weak.

It's a fun story. At least a fun idea. It's "inspired by" Fright Night -- the vampire movie. However, it's not really about vampires as we think of them. It's more of a case fic and a lot of it is from Rhys's POV. It's also very raw. So.. that's a warning.

Any help or suggestions on where to get help let me know!

tw_bigbang week I've gotten nothing done.I. Love. Long. Stories.

As some may, or may not, know I'm getting married. In January.

This is a lot of work.

So far, I've had to book the DJ, find the photographer, get a florist to give me an actual quote, juggle the money from both sides of the family and who is contributing what, reserve hotel room blocks for out-of-towners, deal with my mom, deal with his mom and... seriously, when my gran offered to pay for me to elope last year why didn't I say yes?

However, we did the cake tastings. That was fun. Cake is delicious.

School and wedding are occupying every waking moment right now. School is hard. Income Tax Law is the most painful hour of class I've ever had. i don't even get what's going on in Secured Transactions and, after I take about two hours today to work on some FUN projects and take some me time, I'm going to spend the rest of the day figuring out what that class is about.

Speaking of fun projects, my Gwen/Ianto/Jack story is sexy. It's also really unfinished. It's being put on the backburner, along with a story I'm writing about Jack and post-coital conversations, to work on my thing for reel_torchwood. It's over 10,000 words long right now. Wtf is wrong with me. I only have time to play with one story today, and considering I actually got to watch the movie I'm basing my story on last night, I figured it should be that.

Right now I'm writing a Jack/Gwen/Ianto story. Sort of. I can't help it. It's my favorite and there's not enough of them in the world. Seriously.

I should be working on my reel_torchwood story. It's around 6,000 words at this point and I'm struggling on a couple scenes that will be coming up. I wrote a skeleton scene for one part just to get past it and I'm trying not to let it drift off into a really unnecessary smutty bit but that's hard. I think I just need to send this story to someone and get an honest opinion on how to tackle the trickier bits.

Oh, the flash drive that has my big Gwen & Ianto are kick ass story reappeared. There's 7,000+ words I was worried I would never see again. It also had over half of this fun plotty! Invasion of the Body Snatchers style story I'd been writing. So... phew. I need to keep up with my stuff a little better.

Law school blah blah blah. We're still talking about the First Amendment in Con Law, Tax Law is mind numbing, I don't understand Secured Transactions and Civ Pro is easy. So far, 2nd year is much easier than 1st year.

Today I missed class because I wasn't feeling well. I did some homework and rewatched Season 6 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time since it aired.

I always skip seasons 4 and 6 when I'm in a re-watch mood. Huh. It wasn't as bad as I remembered. Still wasn't great though. I still like Andrew and I think he's a dorky and complex character.

Anya was a beautiful bride. I forgot the wedding episode was this season. I loved Xander and Anya so much and this season caused much pain. Actually, looking back on it, season six was about causing anyone who shipped anything pain.

The Willow Magic Junkie storyline is still awful. I mean just...awful. This season suffered so much for not having a decent big baddie... kinda like season 4. All of the good seasons have memorable big bads.

Yeah. Enough waxing on about Season 6 of Buffy.

I think tomorrow I'm going to go pick up the Buffy Season 8 comics.
