Torchwood: Miracle Day (Episode 3)
Jul. 23rd, 2011 05:11 pmOhh. I watched this streaming last night. I <3
tw_gleeclub. It's great to see a community of people that, no matter how you felt about past seasons, are willing to give Miracle Day a shot and actually try to enjoy the ride. As much as I'm in the "I Miss Old Torchwood" club, I do still love Torchwood. I like Captain Jack. I like Gwen Cooper. I like watching them interact and, overall, I am enjoying Miracle Day. Actually, this has been my favorite episode so far.
Also, as an aside, before I talk about the episode from last night, I want to mention something. I read the reports for the Torchwood ComicCon panel and, my goodness people, stop bringing up Ianto to the poor cast. I loved him. Love him. He's still my favorite Torchwood character, but harassing John Barrowman and Eve Myles about why he died is pointless and a little mean. You're going to make them resent the character. You're making me frustrated on their behalf. They didn't kill him. Jane Espenson can't bring him back. Yes, everyone is well aware there is a portion of the fandom still upset about it. It's harshing my squee and making Ianto such a sore subject. He's becoming the religion and politics of Torchwood fandom -- don't mention him in polite company because you don't know who you might offend.
And now it's time to discuss last night's episode. Remember, there will be typos and ramblings and spoilers. L ( Read more... )
